When it comes to keeping your baggage on hand while flying, there are several requirements around how much you can bring on board. How big can carry-on luggage be?
You can typically take two items of carry-on luggage
The below dimensions apply for most Canadian airlines where you can typically take two items of carry-on luggage on board. The dimension restrictions include wheels and handles, and your carry-on bag must be light enough that you can place it in the overhead bin without the need of assistance. Your personal item must be stored under the seat in front of you.
However, carry-on luggage rules vary based on airlines and aircraft. Many low-cost airlines only allow one personal item like a small backpack or purse and will charge extra for overhead and checked luggage. Always check the carry-on restrictions for your airline before packing for your journey.
