Great location, staff, and amenities

I believe that the rooms are all independently owned, and the only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star rating is because the mattresses in our unit (101) were *really* firm. We happen to sleep on a firm mattress at home, so this wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I'm mentioning it because they are so firm, if it might bother you, you need to call and ask about the unit you're renting. That said; We had a two bedroom, one bath unit. The bathroom is a bit small, but it worked just fine for the four adults we had staying in the room. Both bedrooms are really big and have two full-size beds in them. There is also a closet, dresser, and nightstand in each room. The living area was also large, as was the kitchen, with plenty or room for sitting, eating, cooking and relaxing. There is a full size refrigerator, which we put to good use in our week-long stay. All the rooms have plastic chairs outside for sitting, and there is a good-sized pool on the property with two grills so you can make your own food and relax by the pool. The motel had 80's music playing when we were there and that worked fine for our demographic. The motel is just a block or so from the beach and an easy walk to the boardwalk, so the location is excellent. Its location also makes it relatively quiet. There is a wonderful place that sells sandwiches, snacks, and things like beach items, T-shirts, etc., called Russo's Market and it is just a few blocks away, which was very convenient. There is also maid service and the maid did a fine job of ensuring we had clean bath towels, paper towels, and things like that. The office has ice for sale, which is also convenient. There is a shower on the side of the building for rinsing off sand, and the water is actually warm, which was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely stay here again.

Newly renovated room made for very nice stay!

Location of this place can't be beat. We were literally a few hundred feet to the beach, bike path and 1 blk to the boardwalk ramp and ticket booth! Pool is well kept and BBQ's are ready to go if needed. They have lots of tables and chairs to eat poolside if you want, may be good for families? Our room was a small efficiency studio, 3rd floor with a small porch that looks over the beach. The bonus is right outside where we spent most of our time...the HUGE patio! We had it all to ourselves to lie in the sun or chill at night after walking the boards! Loved it! Nina and Joe who manage are very friendly and helpful. Our room had this cool surfing shack sort of theme where the bed went. The mattress seemed new too, THAT in itself makes the OLD memories of Wildwood vanish fast! Ha! The kitchen is new and tiny but perfect for eggs in the morning if we wanted to (we didn't). The whole look is kind of NYC urban meets the beach. It is different than most but with a new TV, and cold a/c it was PERFECT for our little get away! We'll be back later in summer for sure!

The Royal Sands Motel for the first time.

My wife & I went down the shore for my Birthday & stayed at the Royal Sands Motel.
The room was very nicely renovated .
It was clean & inviting .
The office staff were all very nice.
They have 2 sun decks and the pool was very spacious .

Nice Long Weekend Stay

This place was very nice and the grounds around, and the pool were beautiful and very well maintained. Nina and her husband could not have been nicer to me. I rented an efficiency condo that was very cute and cozy. Had everything you might need for your stay. I also had an ocean view on my little front porch. I enjoyed my stay and will be hopefully going back in September!

Great spot

We stayed here two summers in a row and loved it. Great pool, great location. Close to beach and just off the boardwalk. The room is a bit dated, but clean! BBQ's were great too. We stayed here in august of 2012 and 2013.
