A great motel in the Palo Alto area

We've stayed in many hotel/motels in the Palo Alto area over the years. We chose the Coronet as it was closest to the Palo Alto High School Graduation ceremonies. I was a little concerned as the price was so much lower than we usually have to pay in the area. However, what a delightful surprise! It is well staffed, perfectly maintained, comfortable, quiet, free parking, and even a small pool for a dip after a long hot drive. Grab a room if you are looking in this area.

Great location. Nice staff. BEWARE room #1

Room 1 does NOT allow for sleeping. ALL the rooms back up to a parking lot, but room 1 is under a staircase with laundry out one window and dumpsters from a restaurant that get emptied monday-saturday at 5:00 am. out the back window. The best room would be second floor, farthest from office.
The staff was very nice, but the motel was sold out so they couldn't move me.
The location is fantastic. I walked to the Stanford football game--1.2 miles.
Free parking in lot.

Diamond in the rough!!

Extremely pleased with 3-day stay while spouse underwent treatment at Stanford (10-min to Pasteur Drive). Easily accessible, well-lighted parking lot. Walked to restaurants around corner on California (street blocked off=no cars) Newly renovated room was super clean, comfy beds, good water pressure in shower. Room has small kitchenette (with toaster!) mini frig, microwave, tiny dining table/2 chairs. Very reasonably priced for Stanford area. Will definitely stay again

Big Rooms and Convenient

This is a very convenient hotel if you are doing business in the Palo Alto Area with walkable restaurants and close to the Palo Alto Mall.
The rooms are super clean and big with great coffee service. Though no breakfast, nearby breakfast stops are a stones throw away.

Great spot

Very clean hotel in a great spot .
Close to lots of good food choices, a couple of supermarkets and a great burger joint.
My only complaint was there was no wifi in the rooms furthest away from the reception so we had to move.
And there was a funny smell in the room but i think it was a cleaning product, im not sure but if it is you should get a different one. Had to air it out each time we came back.
But it was a great price and very clean and you can see the owners have pride in there recently refurbished place.
