An overall great Five-Star Experience

The Cheston House Guest House was a great experience and enviable location. The resort is very well-maintained, quaint and very civilized. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, even the most convenient option of a Standard Guest Room. The bed was perfect, the first requirement for a good night's sleep. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced, considering the parking options in the area. Chuck, Pedro and Lawrence were great hosts and took care of us. Other guests were very friendly and sociable. No complaints, and well deserve five stars!

Buyer Beware. The pics online do not reflect the conditions inside.

I stayed one night of 6 booked. I was on business prior to checking in and missed the first night.
Feeling sick the next day, I notified management I would be leaving. I said I would respect whatever refund he deemed appropriate. His response was to ignore me'
The room was worn to the bone. The bare flooring was exposed by holes in the carpeting.

Very Nice Place

I stayed here for too short of a time in Feb. 2023. I loved it here. Location was fantastic. I was able to walk to Sebastian Beach in 5 min. Lots of places to eat, $10 Uber ride to Wilton Manors for more gay activities like the gay bars and restaurants. The host was extremely nice and very accommodating. He put out a great breakfast of fresh fruit, fresh coffee, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, OJ. A breakfast like that would be at least $15 so factor that into cost of the stay. Very relaxing atmosphere. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice showers, all in all extremely pleased with my visit. Thank you to all the staff...you make all the difference.

Beautiful venue. Horrible staff and management

I have to agree with a previous review. This is a beautiful place to stay, but it is overshadowed by the poor management. Chuck and his staff were more of a hindrance than they were anything else. Adding to this was the very obvious drug issue that seems to be prevalent after hours. We notice heavy traffic in and out of one of the second floor units, many of the people clearly there partying it up and leaving barely coherent. One of the members of our party said he saw a couple of shirtless boys with meth pipes fumbling their way into the next apartment over from the the unit with the heavy traffic on the second floor. So naturally we became worried about the safety of our belongings when we weren’t in the room, what might be done in them when we left to do things, and the racket also made it difficult to get restful sleep some nights. Chuck likes to use the excuse that it’s “business”, but what kind of “business” is he really trying run there if that is the highly unprofessional manner in which he and his staff are allowed to carry on. Someone needs to start drug testing all the employees at this establishment and, if necessary, start considering cleaning house and bringing on people that are more concerned with keeping the “business” appealing and profitable. Otherwise, eventually, there just might not be any “business”. I’m all for fun, but there’s a time and place and these guys clearly have forgotten how to keep it professional. Very sloppy.

First, why didn't you report what the "other members" of your party observed? Why didn't they report what they observed? Why didn't you report anything to the manager? You have second hand information attesting to "drug paraphernalia." Very serious situation which you did not personally see and verify. You didn't report anything to management and you didn't report anything to the local authorities, yet, you were worried about your personal belongings and not about your personal safety and safety of other guests. You've made serious accusations which you may very well regret. You're insinuating the staff and management are partaking in illegal activity. Yet, you didn't witness anything first hand. I will not allow you to tarnish the reputation of the staff and management of this establishment. What is the real reason for your distasteful review? This is a "FAKE" and contrived review. A responsible, intelligent person would have alerted local authorities immediately.

Cheston House average

Cheston House is just fair to OK. The room upstairs was OK. The TV remote wasn’t easy to use. The continental breakfast provided is OK. The internet reception was poor. The location is near the beach, and there are expensive restaurants in hotels facing the beach. The hotel has only 14 rooms, and I found it quiet. The pool is actually nice. I would say Wilton Manors is far livelier and more convenient for a vacation.
