With a garden that leads onto a lovely canalside footpath, The Cheshire Cat by Innkeeper's Collection offers free private parking. A roaring log fire features in the country-style Cheshire Cat restaurant and bar, which serves a seasonal menu and cask ales. All rooms have an private bathroom. Chester’s historic, walled city center is just a 5-minute drive away and Chester Zoo can be reached after a 10-minute drive. A refreshing drink can be enjoyed in one of the bars on the banks of the River Dee, and pedalos and motorboats can also be hired within 3 miles of the Innkeeper’s Lodge. Traditional wooden furnishings are provided in each room, as well as a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a selection of toiletries.

Friendly Hostiliery with Rooms and Food

Popped in for a quick pint on a Tuesday afternoon. What a lovely surprise to find this charming place situated on the canal. Great pint and staff very obliging and friendly. Settees and easy chairs in every nook and cranny. Not to mention a great pint og Guinness

Incredible

Spectacular! From arrival to departure, nothing was too much for the team to ensure we felt welcome. The food was delicious, the team friendly, the beds comfortable and fantastic shower pressure. Special shoutout to our waitress Steph who was just outstanding. We will definitely be back!

Awful customer service and attitude . Food very basic. Slow service when not even busy

Had to wait b to be seated even though I booked a table. Waited a while before ordering food and drink. Asked for extra toppings on my pizza, which was burnt underneath and the mushrooms overcooked. Hardly any chillies on my pizza. Childs meal came with 8 chips and the burgers were tiny. We walked to the bar to pay and the lady asked me which table, I didn’t know the number so I said I didn’t know, she asked again even though she obviously knew because she served me twice with food and drink . I asked could I use the £10 voucher for downloading the app. She said I couldn’t and to read the terms and conditions. I had a look on the app but couldn’t find it. I asked could she just scan the qr code anyways . She did and it didn’t work so she then said see I told you it wouldn’t work. I then asked for blue light discount to which she applied before even seeing my card. Her attitude was awful and we certainly won’t be returning or recommending. Bad customer service, food not great.

Great time at the Cheshire cat

We were served by Sophia who was excellent as always.
In fact the whole team were last night,! Saskia and Eliana were helpful and cheerful. the food by Dan was splendid. I had the lamb followed by the crumble (thanks for the recommendation!) All yum!! Thanks all!!!

Cosy pub with rooms

Very warm and welcoming. Friendly, helpful staff , easy check-in.
Comfortable, cosy room with everything just right for a good relaxing sleep.
We booked Sunday lunch as a birthday meal for me with family and we all throughly enjoyed it.
Breakfast was served in a delightful setting although there was a lot of debris on the floor. Maybe from the night before ?
The food again was excellent.
Our only negative point was the shower heat ; only able to turn up so far and thus the pressure was poor. If you wanted a chilly shower the pressure would have been ok but not what you want on a cold November morning.
Very handy location for Chester, either a walk along the canal or the park and ride.
