Clean and convenient hostel

Hostel was in great spot, next to the main street of Umea center. The prices are very affordable! There were light blocking curtains in our room. Beds were ok.
Rooms were very clean! The floors were completely dirtless and dustless, which is not always the case in hostels. They require guests to clean after themselves but it was a bit unclear how much and what you should clean after staying in a dorm.
I slept in a 6 bed female dorm, which even had an own bathroom. There were enough individual showers in the hallway, so I never had to wait for my turn.
There's a tiny kitchen with fridge and freezer with basic utensils, where I was able to store my foods and cook. Breakfast is also served, but it is not included in the price.
The only bad thing I have to say about the hostel is that they didn't inform me about the details when I registered. I had to search the kitchen myself and I didn't know the laundry possibilities and the doorcode system. They only gave me an info paper in Swedish.

Good price for ok service .

If you would like to stay for a night at a place with having a possibility of cooking I suggest you staying there . The price with Umeå standard is reasonable .
I stayed at a double bed private room .
Toilets were kinda small and the cleanliness of bathrooms could be a little higher .

Bit old & dark

Clean but a bit old & tatty. Very good kitchen. Would be better if the reception was open more. People turned up late at night who had booked but there was no info or sheets for them. In a good position to too far from the station.

Good hostel at great location

Great locations, low prices, good breakfast and washing machine available. The lady from the reception was very nice, but the reception is open only a few hours a day.
I stayed for 3 days in which it was very quite in the hostel.

Central & clean, but be prepared to pay extra for almost everything..

The hostel itself is really nice and clean, also very central. But they charge extra for sheets, towels and even cleaning! I just think it's not declared well enough on the website. What's also unfortunate is, that the reception is only opened for 2 or 3 hours a day. When we arrived we were lucky that another guest entered, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get into the hostel.
I think when you know all of that, you can totally enjoy your stay, for us there were just too many bad surprises..
