Very good

Lovely place, not exactly sparkling clean, but the atmosphere is great and the shared kitchen is super functional. Good internet and the private room we rented was extremely spacious. Very, very basic bathroom.

A good place central in Jaffna

I spent two nights at Yaarl. I had a big double room with private bath.
It's not a five star hotel but definitely it's a good place to stay. A big room with TV, a comfortable bed, well working wifi and aircon.
The staff was very helpful and Friday.
The breakfast was included. You have to cook by yourself. There was what I needed to make my breakfast.

Ok. It's a cheap and clean place to stay.

Good things: Fantastic gym, good central location, free breakfast, clean enough.
Bad things: No air con in the rooms so extremely hot at night. I left after one night because I couldn't sleep. From time to time there is an older man left in charge who doesn't speak any English. Got clothing back in my washing which wasn't mine.
Would I stay again? Probably, if I knew the weather at night was going to be cooler.
There really is a need for a second hostel in Jaffna.

wonderful stay in Jaffna

Very nice staff and very good quality-price hostel. The breakfast runs from 7h30 to 10h and the rooms are clean and huge. It is definitively a great place to stay in Jaffna. Not only that it is super well located but also that it is a hostel in three floors with no noisy rooms, kitchen on the top floor and even fitness room.

Brand new first hostel in Jaffna

Great place to meet other travellers in Jaffna, as not many people venture up to these parts! The staff are lovely & will help with all questions - scooter hire, onward travel etc. Beds are comfy & rooms are huge. The hostel lacks a bit of warmth, but that will come with time as more travellers come to the area The only thing they need to work in ASAP are the mosquito nets, which don’t fit the beds properly, as I got bitten quite a lot in the night!
