Good location for accessing tapas bars. Friendly service. Because service people are not always at the reception, we need to carefully communicate our arrival time. Because a tapas bar is just next the building, it is noisy but not so much. We slept well.

The only issue was arriving. After a long day of travel we arrived at the door and after 10 minutes no one answered. We had alerted them to our arrival time so it was concerning. We then called hotel.com and finally the son arrived and let us in. Otherwise it was a delightful stay. Our hostess,Anne was lovely and very accommodating.

Ignore the bad reviews!

Pension Anne is great value for what you get. This guest house is perfectly located in the centre of the old town, a stones throw away from La Concha beach! It is quite noisy at night as there are bars around but what do you expect slap bang in the middle of the buzz of the city. With my earplugs in, I couldn’t hear a thing! The rooms vary in size, I had a single room so I wasn’t expecting it to be large but I still had a double bed, wardrobe and a little balcony! The bathrooms are shared but there was never a queue, always clean and tidy and the shower pressure was fantastic! The host Anne is warm and welcoming and made a lovely, delicious breakfast. They even accommodated my late arrival and check in. All in all, I’m very happy and would return if I came back to San Sebastián. Muchas gracias Pension Anne.

Don’t ever think about booking this place.

It’s the worst place I’ve stayed in , we were travelling with another couple, we ordered two double rooms, we were not told that we would have too share a bathroom, plus there was another room between us, and told this person was going to share the bathroom , when you are paying 174 euros per night I certainly don’t expect to share a bathroom with some else, place they expected to have breakfast was a joke, needless to say we left the next day and booked into a hotel for the same price which was paradise compared to this place. This place is a total rip off.
