A time out of time - it’s fabulous

Well, for years I have driven past the gates and wanted to see beyond the fancy entrance. On a chance visit to Wakkerstroom and after scrolling Trip Advisor for accommodation I found a special for R707 per night per person. I booked two standard rooms and on arrival were informed that we had been upgraded from a view of horse camps to mountains and dams a splendid peaceful place, where cellphones and loud noise are really out of place. It allowed us to take time out and just be. The breakfasts were included in the rate and the fair is simple and hearty. I loved the mini frankfurters. The dinners we had at the venue after our site seeing jaunts into the town of Wakkerstroom. The food prices are ridiculously affordable with a fillet steak and all the trappings going for R120 and starters the springbok cappaccio at R65. It’s absolute value for money. The bottle of Ernie Els reserve wine was more expensive than both our dinners. The staff are super friendly, the deluxe rooms and the Egyptian cotton bedding were fabulous. It’s decadence for people needed time for introspection and me time. The quad bikes and horse rides are also the only way to see the animals if you don’t want a game drive. You haven’t been to this town if you haven’t tried out this venue. ,

The rest of the stay was beyond what I expected.Thw quality of linen and food was excellent.Woukd definitely recommend it to others

Divine, splendid, amazing.

Simply divine the whole stay, and the experience. Very well received, super friendly and attentive staff, super comfortable bar and super well prepared meals, full and delicious. Amazing views, super comfortable rooms. To repeat without doubt. I highly recommend.

Great time with awesome food

Watched some rugby, met new friends, and had the most awesome dinner. 2 types of paella, which was more than sublime!! Chicken was even better than the seafood. Wow!! What an experience!. Definitely coming back for more, and also to come visit the spa
