Very cute Hostel inbetween Airport and city
A lovely friendly clean hostel with en suite rooms as well as shared. Big kitchen with everything including dishwasher/laundry facilities. Overlooking the Gulbenkian museum which is housed in lovely gardens with a cafe in the grounds. Lots of places to eat and visit the zoo is quite close by. A common room with lots of sofas where you can catch up with other guests. Safety is excellent and there's a lift. Highly recommend - Lisbon is a great place to visit and caters for all budgets. I think there's something for everyone here

Okay for one night if you bring earplugs
Strategic and convenient location with metro, train to Sintra and bus to other parts of the city. In zons there are also clubs and restaurants and it is a lively and well-kept area.

If the room is hot, since there is no air conditioning, you have to keep the window open and you can count the planes passing by, because it seems to have them in the room.
What's actually worse is the lack of privacy and the lack of respect by other guests for schedules. People taking a shower, slamming doors at 3 a.m. that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to sleep: you should perhaps insulate the doors or walls because so it really is impossible to sleep, impossible
We had a private bathroom (well maintained, nice shower) but were only provided one shower bath bag each for 3 nights stay.

AVOID!
Pros: private room and ”social” areas generally kept clean, good location for easily accessing public transport, warm shower.
Cons: where to begin? There’s cameras EVERYWHERE, the host demanded payment in cash as soon as we stepped into the room (which was more than stated initially), rules seemed to change constantly (it was stressed there was a female and male only bathrooms yet the male residents constantly used the “female only” bathroom which made for uncomfortable situations and alongside that, left it smelly and dirty after use, window blinds do not work and got stuck so they were not adjustable, thin walls which make for no privacy whatsoever, felt unsafe staying there as it was easy to feel paranoid and uncomfortable.
Overall: very shady and weird energy; I would not class it as a hostel or recommend - avoid!

Where to start, the person in charge wears pajamas all day, practically every day.
They have cameras in the living room which I'm pretty sure is a GDPR violation.
During the time I was there, I witnessed arguments between the person in charge and guests, which was terrible.
The rules change depending on the wind, one day you can use the kitchen as you please, another day it is locked at night, the guest is the one who cooks, but you cannot eat whenever you want.
The beds are not hard, they are stone.
The walls are not thin, they are paper.
The men's bathroom is almost always filthy and poorly cleaned.
I don't recommend it and I clearly won't go back.

Could be nicer
We wanted to book a room for 2 nights in October but by mistake booked for November - which was thus well in advance - and we were not refunded our payment although the accommodation is always fully booked, so the room HAS new lodgers and was therefore paid double. Being a student it would have been very nice to get the money back simply as a gesture of goodwill.
