A good surprise!
The room was spacious and equipped with features that set this property apart from others. It included a standard-sized refrigerator, a fully functioning kitchen, a jug of water, a good-sized bathroom, and many more amenities. The welcome treat with a handwritten note was a sweet touch. The well-appointed lobby, inviting pool, gym, and laundry facilities were also impressive—I could go on and on about them.
The highlight of my stay was definitely the breakfast buffet at Abaca restaurant, which was one of the best hotel breakfast buffets I've had in recent memory. The food was top-notch! That alone would merit a return and a longer stay. I could eat there every day. My favorites included the variety of excellent bread (very good sourdough!), the vegetable frittata, and the baked eggs.
One thing that I think Citadines Cebu is doing better than the others I have stayed at is they'll let you use their amenities even after checking out. You can use the pool and the gym while waiting for your flight. This is especially useful when your flight is late in the evening, and you have spare hours to go around town. You can just go back to the hotel and freshen up in the pool showers for free. Something that everyone hotelier should take note of.
And did I mention the free delicious coffee (better than Starbucks!) at the lobby?
I would definitely return to Citadines Cebu.
