This hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the station. It has 2 buildings, the Moon and Flower building. Our room was in the Moon building which was further from the main area. The amenities were great, there were complimentary snacks provided at fixed timings. There was also a resting area with complimentary drinks beside the in-house gift store.

Truly awful

Booked this hotel as part of a trip through Japan . This was by far the worst of 6 hotels and the most expensive . We booked it on recommendation of a travel agent . It looked , in photos, like an ideal boutique hotel in a lovely setting and 5 star based on price.
Location is great as very close to train station and all the amenities of Hakone. The hotel itself ? All we can say is that in 50 years of travelling we have not stayed in anything as poor for the price we , stupidly , paid - €590. It is like a bad motel from a Quentin Tarantino movie based on the 1970’s. If it was built in 1970’s no upgrade or repairs have been made since. The floors are stained and dirty . The wallpaper is peeling off in hallways and bedroom . There were 2 smells in bedroom . Firstly the sulphuric smell from hot springs which is expected. But overpowering that is a musty smell of dampness . There are 2 bedroom buildings attached by a dilapidated walkway. Probably tainting our view is that it was extremely cold. But walking through that walkway to our ‘Moon’ building would be no joy at any time. The food was ok . The hot spring bath was ok but lucky it was dark and steamy so we could not see what the state the place was in. The staff were indifferent and lacking enthusiasm , unlike any where else we stayed in Japan . We suspect they know it’s a sham.
We know that most of other residents were paying less than €200 a night. Be careful using Booking.com for these types of trips.
We were duped by reviews and the booking system.

It was a good location that right next to the train station.however I think it will still be good to have a shuttle bus offerings to main train station / hot touristic spots. The dinner timeslot is 17:30 or 19:30, however, even we tried to book the time right after check in, the slots for later session were fully booked. Service there was not very personalized.
But in generally I really like the onsens, they have one in my room, one private onsen you can walk in if its not occupied and 2 more public ones.
I love the main one with outdoor onsen! Also love the indoor one too with multiple options :)
Food was quite good and very fresh.
I enjoyed my stay and would come back!
Just hope the service and personalization part get better in the future.

Very good experience in Hotel with traditional meals including dinner and breakfast. Hot springs are very extraordinary and we relaxed in both private and public hot springs. Front counter are very friendly and helpful for all information needed.
Night Ramen is served for guests and very nice. Recommended for accommodation.

The location is excellent, just 3 - 5 minutes' walk from the train station, making travel easy.
However, facilities were so-so. The in-room bath had water stains, so we didn't use it.
Dining was underwhelming, like a basic tour package, lacking quality.
Value for money was poor, perhaps due to peak season and location. Overall, it has potential but needs improvement.
