Awesome Team Outing

We visited Camp Temghar for our team R&R outing. It is located close to the Temghar dam about an hours drive from Hinjewadi, Pune.
Neatly tucked away in the midst of lush surroundings, this is a perfect get-away.
There are multiple activities one can indulge in such as TT, Snooker, basket-ball, cricket ( yes there is a wide open ground where one can play football or cricket) and a swimming pool that one can soak in.
The open spaces were well tended to, and there were multiple fruit trees which attracted a lot of birds. I spotted, golden oriole , Reeds warbler, red cheeked as well as ref vented bulbul, oriental dive to name a few.
A short 10 minutes walk on the nature trail leads you to a gurgling brook which was my favourite sit-spot of the day. This place is a nature lovers haven.
The team at Camp Temghar were so hospitable and accommodating and the meals we had were finger-lickin scrumptious.
Extra points for the superb team, the pristine location and the delicious grub.

Total Waste of Money!

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!
According to the owner it's *a Camp* & not *a Resort* but he will charge you *7k* of a resort price.
*Horrible experience with the owner (Rajan). Arrogant, unhelpful, & Shrewd*.
*NO NETWORK, NO WIFI, NO STREETS LIGHTS ON THE GHAT, NO ROOM SERVICE OR CLEANLINESS, NO PROPER AC FUNCTIONING*.
Avoid driving post the sunset, as the last 12 to 15 Kms is a *isolated stretch with limited or *No Mobile Network*. Practically, if your car breaks down you will be stranded in the dark with very little to no help & with very low network to contact anyone.
Me & my husband had planned a 2 nights, 3 days trip.
I was in touch with the owner himself for booking, rates & informed him about our arrival at the camp which would be around 8pm to 9pm. I specifically asked him about a proper route direction or to follow GPS, he said 'GPS'. This was our first visit to this place and hence not very familiar with the roads & location.
One wouldn't know the roads, accessibility and safety prior. Being the owner of the place you are responsible to pass on the right information proactively about the roads, safety, no network, no wifi, etc. Which obliviously wasn't provided during the entire conversations or at the time of booking.
Upon confronting he kept arguing that "we should be the one who should have asked & inquired" & *he is not supposed to inform us* those things prior. Had he informed us earlier about the steeply, scary stretch we would have either planned to reach before sunset or checked in the next morning or cancelled it although.
At one point, the stretch was so scary & isolated that we decided to reconfirm with the owner to check whether we were on the right route. With no signboards and with no one to ask, we had doubts if we were on the right route. When we called the owner for guidance, he seemed quite cold & dry in his approach. Atleast he could have just made us feel little safe, comforting and pacifying.
In short, he wasn't concern about how you felt at that moment.
We managed to reach the camp safely. Upon reaching we realized it's NO NETWORK AND NO WIFI ZONE & we were not communicated the same again. It may be fine for people wanting peace and disconnection. But not for people who have to be connected for emergencies for their old parents, or for people who have booked this place so as they could work from a quaint enviroment.
Surprisingly, with no network the owners have made no effort to even have wifi available & on being confronted they have the audacity to tell you that "why do you need Network or Data or Wifi".
How would family contact you in the time of emergency? Or No One Should call or reach out to them irrespective how urgent or important it may be.
Eventually after explaining them that we need WiFi atleast as we need to be connected for emergencies & work calls which were scheduled in advance, we were provided with a wifi Dongal.
You can afford to be rude to your customers, but your service & attitude speaks a lot about your hospitality & warmthness for your clients.
In fact their kitchen staff Makhan Singh & Das were very kind & warm. Due to their hospitality we managed to stayed for 1 night & left the next evening. We mostly left due to owner's arrogant, stubborn & ignorant behavior.
But, both the manager and the owner were so adamant about their stand that they kept blaming us for not asking them about these things before we finalized it.
But how do someone know about such issues before hand? We didn't have any idea about the entire place located on a hilly terrain and niether it was conveyed to us.
In short, he isn't concern about you, your safety or your feedbacks.
It's very important to make your client feel attended , love & cared. How you treat your customer speaks a lot about you, your service & your company. How you make them feel during and after their stay is the memories they will carry along & cherish for life.
But Rajan your approach was more of business than memories.
Would not recommend this place.

Cosy place, serene surroundings, clean air, good food

We browsed the net for a resort which offered lots of natural ambience rather than man made, noisy entertainment and necessary sanitization and isolation, for our first weekend break post lockdown, within 1-2 hours' drive from Pune. We zeroed in on this retreat in a village with no Corona case so far!
It's a cosy place in serene surroundings. Crisp, clean air. Good food. Reasonable sanitization, fair isolation assured by there being hardly any habitats in the vicinity and very low accupancy in the resort. Staff response is quick to service requirements.
On the flip side are minor irritants such as no voluntary cleaning of the room gb and the bathroom on the second day of our stay (I guess this could be due to skeletal staff availability at present) and a miniscule instant geyser in the bathroom attached to our room which necessitated taking out s couple of litres of hot water, waiting for the water in the geyser to heat up again, and so on at least half a dozen times to get a bucket full!
The photos posted with this post include a couple from the surroundings, taken during a walk out of the retreat.

Place is basic and close to Pune

Basic AC rooms, food is average.. Careful on the charges. Was dealing with one Mr Rajan and was over charged for a few hrs of overstay. Had these charges been highlighted in advance, we would have moved out earlier. Be careful while dealing with him. I have seen the last if this place and may not recommend. Can find many more better places around Pune.
