Country hotel in the Lüneburger Heide
We got a room upgrade and the room was big and nicely equipped. Probably one of the best beds I ever slept in in a hotel. The bathroom was more than OK with a very spacious shower.
The restaurant was unfortunately closed the day of our stay.

“Museal” but well-kept rooms
My room on the first floor taught you how to decorate a hotel room maybe about 30 years ago: Green-blue mottled linen, light green curtains, chair upholstery covered with green-pink iridescent cloth, wallpaper also with a delicate green-pink pattern, tables with "golden" legs, floor lamp with the same base. This museum idyll was basically disturbed only by the modern flat screen. The small bathroom stylistically fitting with shower cubicle with “historic” high entrance.
Given the old age of the facility, the state of entertainment of the room was really excellent. Everything was well maintained and very clean.
Decent breakfast buffet with a large selection of sausages and cheeses, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit salad.
The staff was very friendly both at check in and at breakfast. I could safely store my bike.
Conclusion: Maybe still okay for an overnight stay, but certainly unsuitable for a longer feel-good holiday.
