Great!!

For the 3rd time to this hotel. Again enjoyed the hospitality, clean rooms, lovely bed and the good food.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
I asked them if they would fill my thermos with hot water, got it back with a cookie stuck on it very sweet!
We will definitely be back again.

Great hotel.

Prima hotel. Price quality is excellent. Nice spacious rooms. Good food. Half Pension was decent and varied. Very friendly welcome. Close to Luxembourg but a lot cheaper. Many visits possible in the area: Trier, Echternach, etc.

Good value for money but poorly insulated

Old hotel along the Sûre (I had a room with a view of the front of the building and not the river), on a street in a very small German village close to the Luxembourg town of Echternach and the beautiful Mullerthal hikes.
A few parking spaces in front of the building (occupied by restaurant customers) and a small parking lot with a few spaces in a street at the back (unfortunately not lit).
The room is spacious but the furniture comes from Ikea and not exceptional. The bedding is not great (cheap foam mattress from the Swedish store). There are no curtains on the windows but shutters so there is no longer any need for daylight or privacy. At bedtime, what a noise, the restaurant (for my part its kitchen) is located under the rooms and the noise that goes with it. The same goes for the walls which are very thin and not very sound-insulated: I could hear the telephone conversation of a German man who was in the next room. Impossible to sleep at this noise level.
Concerning breakfast, it is offered at the price of 11€/person. It is not a buffet but cold meats and cheese, a hard-boiled egg, coffee, a few pieces of fruit, orange juice and industrial bread. It is correct but a shame that the ingredients are imposed.
For a brief stay out of season, the hotel is good value for money. I did not try the restaurant (German cuisine).

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at this property. We were given the entire top floor of one unit that overlooked the river (I booked a 2 bed, private bathroom room). We let them know the ceiling fan was not working and the next time we returned to our room after going off for the day, we found that they had brought us several oscillating fans and placed them in the room which was very appreciated and made the stay enjoyable. We were able to park right in front of our unit, and they had breakfast ready for us every morning. We ate dinner there once as well and it was very good. They will also pack lunches if you request (and pay extra), but we never needed them. There is an Edeka 10 minutes away by car in Irrel (closed on Sundays). The location is perfect for lots of day trips. We visited Vianden, the Devil's Gorge, drove from Bernkastel to Piesport along the Mosel, Eifelpark, Bitburg, Trier, and the Mullertal. The town on the other side of the river also has a lovely park and playground which our family enjoyed...about a 10 minute walk. Vielen Dank!

Above the TOP! This was one of the BEST places we stayed in our whole trip. We had a whole floor suite to ourselves, and I didn't even ask for it! The owner was so nice, and gave us a TON of information about the town. It was so clean and quiet, and the view from our balcony was spectacular. The food in their restaurant was one of the BEST!! Would highly recommend you stay there, we would go again!
