Once again

Was here again. Great location about 5 minutes from the main train station. Were here for Gewandhaus Concert 9. Symphony). Room was quiet at night and clean. Nice shower. Internet OK. Location couldn't be better. We didn't take breakfast.

Rip-off

Made a wrong booking for this hotel via Booking.com and wanted to cancel the short time after booking. Booking.com gave me the green light (or allowed the hotel to cancel without them wanting to claim any costs for the hotel).
The room was booked for one day: 56,03€. The cancellation costs: 54€!!!
Meininger did not show himself to be cult even after several phone calls and repeatedly withdrew to their rules: I can cancel if I would pay the cancellation cost of 54€!!!
For me, that's it with this hotel chain!

Not recommended if you need a slightly soft bed

Very hard bed which is not useful with rapid luxations (dislocation of joints), otherwise fine, nothing special. quite friendly staff, location is nice and quiet. Good bars and restaurants nearby, close to the center and the station and a tram stop nearby.
In short, if you can sleep on a hard bed and a soft pillow, do so.

Great team at Meininger

The staff is sensational. Always smiling and very helpful. Room was good for the night, a few small stains and there was a draft in the bathroom through the door.
Breakfast good for us.
We were able to lock our suitcases before and after our stay.

Great hotel with an innovative concept, highly recommended. Very good staff from the house technician to the reception, everything top modern, functional rooms, highly recommended. I don't think that you can only pay with a card in the bar area, a machine where you can get a world map with cash would be a solution. P.S. particularly cool is that there is even a kitchen. You can cook your own meals.
