Great hotel - boring location

This hotel was really cute and clean, and the dorm rooms weren’t bad for dorm rooms… The pool was nice the cold tub which is like a hot tub with cold water, was great. Literally nothing bad I can say about this place other than its location. Which I know they can’t do anything about but everybody online recommended staying in Quepos and I don’t know why, because it’s horrible. Yes, you can get picked up from your hotel to go out on excursions but if you’re there without a car, there’s literally nothing to walk to or do in Quepos without paying to go on an excursion! They recommend Sofa Sanchez to eat, everyone seems to, and it was modern but not great.

Overall a pleasant stay and good value. Helpful staff, lovely pool, communal kitchen area were nice. Lack of hot water in the shower and whirlpool was disappointing. Loud 'happy hour' music was rather obnoxious, but turned down upon request. Interesting other guests made for good interactions.

Room service is weekends only and the walls are thin so you can hear kids in the pool at 6am cannonballing and screaming
The staff is incredibly nice and most speak English only complaints would be from the noise and out of my 5 days they only cleaned the room once

Beautiful hotel with pool in the center of Quepos

Excellent lodging option in the center of Quepos, very close to the bus terminal (200 meters) and all the shops around.
The hotel is very quiet both day and night. The facilities are always clean and tidy, the pool is also impeccable, just enough to cool off after a day of touring or the beach.
In my case, I was traveling alone so the private room for 1 person with a shared bathroom was the best option.

Worst night ever in Costa Rica

I slept in the dorm, which looks pretty neat, although the floor is quite dirty and there are scattered hairs. At night it is extremely hot/stuffy +- 35 degrees. There are 2 fans that barely work. Leaving the door open is almost impossible, otherwise you will be eaten by mosquitoes. In short, worst night ever in a Costa Rican hostel.
The pool looks nice and it is nice that they offer a towel service. The showers are horrible and there is mold in many places. I've been to quite a few hostels in Costa Rica/other countries, but this was by far the worst experience ever!
