Arriving at the Airport
Lanzarote Airport consists of two terminals. Terminal 1 is used for international flights, and Terminal 2 is used only for inter-island flight routes. Taxi ranks can be found outside of arrivals at both terminals. A taxi ride into downtown Arrecife, the island's capital, will take between 15-20 minutes and cost about $40 CAD. Taxi fares are slightly more expensive on weekdays between 10 PM and 6 PM and on Sundays and holidays.
Four public transit bus routes stop at the airport between Monday to Friday. The frequency depends on the route. Route 22 arrives about every half hour and gets to downtown Arrecife in about ten minutes. If you'd like to rent a car, there are nine car rental companies with service counters at the airport.

Lanzarote Airport features large duty-free shopping centres as well as specialty shoe, apparel, jewelry, and toy stores. Smaller shops with souvenirs, toiletries, and other sundries are also available. Full-service restaurants and small cafes are also located in both terminals. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout Terminal 1 and 2.
